Hello. At Enrich we have just been doing Canstruction and now I am doing my blog. Our Canstruction is a Smurf.  Here is my smurf:

 Our cans are being stuck together by velcro and it' a lying-down wall. It will be held in the museum in Invercargill.  Then we will give all of the cans to the food bank.  

After lunch we are doing a bit of maths and art. 

Hi, everyone! At enrich the people at the top of the chess leader board are going to a chess tournament!  The chess leaderboard is where you can tell how good someone is at chess.  They are going to Dunedin by bus.  They will be back at 9pm!  We also did planning for Canstruction.  The materials we are using are cans, velcro and a type of wood.  We are now doing our must dos and picks.

My day at Enrich

Hi everyone. At Enrich I did some more passion time.   I did some more painting, this time of a rook chess piece.  Next time I want to improve mixing my colours.

In the morning today I played chess against Darryn and Max J.  I lost both games, but Darryn taught me how to finish a game.

Passion Time

Today after morning tea we did passion time.  Passion time is when you get to do something that you really want to do.  I chose painting.  I painted with lots of different colours, and Alana taught me how to blend and mix colours together.  I used an easel to hold my painting up while I worked.  I had lots and lots of fun. Next time for passion time, I think I will do some more painting with my friend Matthew.

The learning wheel

The learning wheel is about what we have done last term.  It tells you things like what I have learnt at Enrich.

Today we played leader board chess.  I played against Alana.  She taught me how to do Scholars.  Scholars is when you put someone in check mate in 4 moves!

Today at Enrich

Hi everyone.  Today we started with a game of chess.  I went to the workshop first, then I played Bede.  We didn't quite get our game finished - the music went on too soon!  Next we did talent development.  We decided on our design - we are going to make an I-pad our of cans!  After morning tea, we finished our SCAMPER.  We had one of the foam mats.  We had to use each letter of SCAMPER to change it to use the foam mat differently.  This afternoon, I learnt how to edit my photos in I-photo.  I liked to use ALL the different editing tools, especially the one that smudged peoples faces out!  Tonight is our Sharing Night - I can't wait!

Hi Daniel

You have made a great start to your first year at Enrich.  You are learning to organise your time in order to get set tasks completed.  You are so eager to engage in everything we have on offer here at Enrich.  My favourite quote from you on Friday was when you said you wanted to select all three talent development groups because they all sounded really good!  I know you will enjoy the Canstruction with Alana.  I wonder what your design will be?  Keep up the great effort Daniel.  Katie
