VERY Important!
Hello out there!!! Do you remember that Keynote I was talking about??? Well, I presented it today. (By the way, last time I blogged about it, there was still a lot more work to do!) Here is the slide the teachers loved the most:
My 'thanks' slide said thank-you to everyone who put their time and effort into helping me finish it. Nicola said that we will work on putting thanks and things like that into keynotes and other things next year because it is VERY important and polite to thank people. The keynote I loved best of all was Jackson's because he had a wonderful habits of mind slide on JRR Tolkien.

Digital Citizenship
Nicola told us the day plan and we rolled into the day. We started out with our Affective study. I have finished mine on keynote and I think it looks good but it still needs to be checked. Robotics today was frustrating because we had to start all over again because our robot looked a bit wonky. I learnt today that our internet footprints start before we are born and that it grows bigger and bigger every second. I learnt that safety on the internet is very important.

Robotics.
Chuck! Chuck! Chuck! Thats the noise of people controlling NXT lego robots. Jackson and I already had our robot painfully inching its way along the track Darryn, one of the teachers here, had made. One of the smarter kids in robotics,Kyle, had already gotten his robot to work, but he had to leave early.
Yours Truly, Daniel.

Strong, Stable Shape!
Had a good holiday? I have. Back to blogging. This morning we started with a technology challenge. The aim was that we had to make a chair that had to be strong enough to hold the biggest wooden frogs we have here. The expectations were: It had to have a back, at lest 4 legs and, like I said, it had to hold the biggest wooden frog. I worked with Jackson, Neave and Pearl, (we are a Salford bunch!) Our chair failed because we didn't make the legs strong enough. If I could change one thing about it, it would have been the shape of the legs. Instead of straight, we would have included triangles to help make it a really strong, stable part!

Pirate Names!!
Well!! I certainly was wrong when I said that I was finished doing my lino prints. I actually needed to finish off all my prints that are blue and green and print the Lorax on. I needed to cut out the Lorax but I cut out the stump underneath him instead. Since the sun was facing the Lorax in the print, the stump that he was standing on should look brighter than the stumps behind him. Did you know that everyone on Friday has a pirate name. Mine is: Bowman Sea Head Jones!!
